After an 7-year career in top-level sports alongside his rider Annelies, the decision has been made for the 18-year-old Wilandro to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. Wilandro, who consistently went above and beyond for Annelies and was renowned for his dedication, has captured the hearts of many.
For Annelies, Wilandro is more than just a horse; he is ‘once in a lifetime,’ a horse that has conquered a special place in her heart. His commitment was always 200%. This unique bond between rider and horse has charmed Wilandro not only to Annelies but also to the team of Stal De Sjiem and all of those who have worked with him over the past years.
Wilandro has numerous top-10 placings at the 3*, 4* and 5* levels, and his performances include events such as the Grand Prix of Maastricht, Lier, St. Lô, Tubbergen, and Samorin. Not to mention their 2nd place in the World Cup of Poznan.
Team Stal De Sjiem wants to thank Wilandro for his contribution to the sport and what he did for Annelies. Now, he can enjoy his well-deserved retirement at Stal De Sjiem.
